The planning assumptions behind our venue directory, with the method and limits explained.
What is included in the calculation?
Each directory venue with a positive minimum and a valid maximum room-rate assumption contributes once. Entries without a usable numeric accommodation range, including event-only venues, are excluded from room-rate statistics. Venues are not weighted by rooms, guests, bookings or revenue.
The median sorts the lower rate assumptions and takes the middle value, or the mean of the two middle values for an even sample. A displayed range or median is not an average amount actually paid by couples. Currency is INR; Gulf venue figures are the directory's INR planning assumptions, not a dated foreign-exchange quotation.

Turn a room assumption into a useful wedding brief
For example, 75 rooms × two nights × an assumed ₹25,000 gives ₹37.5 lakh for accommodation. Four meals for 150 guests at an assumed ₹3,000 add ₹18 lakh. The ₹55.5 lakh subtotal still needs event spaces, production, transfers, other agreed services and applicable taxes. It is an arithmetic example, not a hotel offer.
Compare the same room categories, nights, meal attendance and functions in every proposal. A lower room figure does not establish a cheaper complete wedding, and a published hotel inventory does not establish the room block available for your dates.

No. This report summarises illustrative room-rate assumptions stored in the venue directory. It is not a survey of current tariffs, signed contracts or completed weddings.
What does the median represent?
It is the median of the lower room-rate assumptions for 66 directory entries with positive numeric ranges. Each venue has equal weight. It is not an average booking price or a national wedding-cost average.
Does a low room assumption mean a cheap wedding?
No. Room commitments, nights, catering, function spaces, production, transfers, taxes and other agreed services determine the complete proposal.
How should I use this report?
Use it to organise a shortlist and understand the assumptions on this website. Request a written hotel proposal for your dates, room categories, guest count and functions before making a booking decision.
