A Udaipur palace wedding budget starts with the guest list, the stay and the exact places where you want to celebrate. A room tariff or a photograph of another wedding cannot establish the total. Use this guide to compare the same brief across hotels, then replace every estimate with a dated written proposal.

Room inventory is different from wedding capacity
Count overnight guests by household and count event attendees separately for each function. Ask the hotel how many rooms it can allocate for your dates and what occupancy is allowed. Then request a seating plan for the ceremony and dinner, including the stage, mandap, buffet and circulation.

A worked wedding-budget example
The following numbers demonstrate the calculation; they are not a quote for any of the hotels in this article.
- Accommodation assumption: 100 rooms x 2 nights x Rs.30,000 per room/night = Rs.60 lakh.
- Meal assumption: 200 guests x 4 hosted meals x Rs.3,500 per guest/meal = Rs.28 lakh.
- Subtotal: Rs.88 lakh before event hire, decor, entertainment, production, transfers, taxes and any additional items.
If the available room mix changes, recalculate it by category. If some meals are already included in the room quote, do not count them twice. Add early-arrival rooms, supplier stays, extra beds or an overflow hotel only where they are needed.
What a two- or three-day package should show
List each function, its attendance, menu and space. A two-day celebration can still need three accommodation nights for guests arriving early. An extra day changes more than the room bill: it can add meals, venue access, production, transport and supplier time.
- Room categories, occupancy and nights, including any committed minimum.
- Every hosted meal, beverages, dietary arrangements and applicable charges.
- Named event spaces, setup and dismantling hours, and the indoor weather alternative.
- Decor, lighting, sound and entertainment responsibilities.
- Guest transfers between arrival points, hotels and function venues.
- Payment schedule, cancellation terms and what happens if your guest count changes.
Build a shortlist beyond the first five hotels

Do not choose a 'cheapest palace' from online ranges that use different room nights or functions. A lower room rate can be offset by extra transfers or production; a larger room inventory does not automatically guarantee a lower total.
Request proposals you can compare
