Taj's official hotel overview lists 83 rooms and suites. That is the published hotel inventory, not a promise that every room will be available or included in a wedding arrangement. Ask for the room-category breakdown and any minimum commitment.
Prepare a rooming list with single occupancy, children, suites, family arrangements and staff accommodation. If guests stay elsewhere, confirm where they meet, board transfers and return after each function.
Illustrative accommodation cost
Our venue page uses an example of 75 rooms for three nights at assumed rates of ₹60,000–₹1,20,000 per room per night. The arithmetic is ₹1.35–₹2.70 crore for accommodation. These are existing planning assumptions, not verified current tariffs or an available package.
A smaller 40-room, two-night calculation at the same assumptions gives ₹48–₹96 lakh. That does not establish that the hotel will accept that block for a wedding. The proposal must confirm the commercial structure, categories, inclusions and dates.
Add meals and event costs separately
As a purely illustrative calculation, 150 guests attending four meals at an assumed ₹5,000 each creates a ₹30 lakh food subtotal. Add beverages and taxes as applicable to the written proposal, and avoid charging again for a meal already included in the room rate.
Event-space charges, decor, technical production, photography, entertainment and other commissioned services are separate unless expressly included. Ask the hotel which spaces and function formats it will offer, what setup is permitted and which services must use approved suppliers.
Boat and transfer planning
- Confirm guest boarding points, operating arrangements and assistance for guests with mobility needs.
- Plan luggage movement separately from arrivals and formal events.
- Ask how suppliers move equipment, decor and materials, with access and delivery timings.
- Establish the plan for delays, adverse weather and guests returning to another hotel.
- Specify who coordinates movement and communicates updates to families and vendors.
Do not assume boats, event transport or special access are included because the hotel is on an island. Obtain the operational plan and any charges in writing.

Consider the pace of the trip, not only the ceremony photographs. Several functions, older guests, children and split accommodation can make repeated transfers demanding. Ask the hotel to review your whole itinerary and the indoor alternative before committing to individual spaces.
